Our Mission is Turning Collaboration into Growth

Savvy Simian began as a partnership between two very different individuals who discovered a shared belief: success is not a solo pursuit, but the natural outcome of true collaboration. While working together for years in a global manufacturing company, we experimented with the idea of challenging ourselves to collaborate more openly, courageously and authentically.

Along the way, we realized that professional growth cannot be separated from personal growth. The modern landscape demands more than technical expertise - it calls for self-awareness, agility and the courage to work alongside others in meaningful ways.

One of the concepts that has deeply inspired us is emergence - the way something greater arises when individuals come together. Through our own journey, we’ve found that human collaboration creates the environment where emergence thrives.

One essential ingredient of collaboration is courage. Because fear often governs our societies, keeping people disconnected - not only from one another, but also from their truest selves. But courage, in contrast, allows us to reach out, to be transparent and vulnerable, to listen to different perspectives, to admit mistakes and to embrace change.

Savvy Simian exists to nurture that courage. Our mission is to provide individuals with the tools, the mindset and the supportive environment they need to enhance their skills while embarking on a journey of self-discovery. We aim to help people reconnect - with themselves, with others and with the possibilities that emerge when collaboration is fuelled by courage.

I’m a unique mix of curiosity and action, shaped by a lifelong passion for sports. For more than 20 years I’ve navigated multiple industries and roles - starting from the ground floor all the way up to leading organizations through complex transformations. Along the way, I’ve discovered that the most meaningful solutions come from asking the right questions, turning complexity into clarity and pushing both myself and those around me to go beyond limits.

Whether it’s leading teams, optimizing processes, or running marathons, I approach every challenge with pragmatism, transparency and a relentless focus on results.

My mission is to empower individuals and organizations to embrace change, make courageous decisions and create lasting impact - while fostering environments where people feel free to think, choose and grow.

Scott Colquitt

My name is Scott Colquitt.

I’m a unique mix of creativity and pragmatism, shaped by a lifelong passion for music and over 30 years of leadership in global manufacturing, supply chains and non-profits. From performing worldwide as a professional musician, including 10 years with the U.S. Army Band, to leading organizations across industries, I’ve learned that curiosity, agility and collaboration are the keys to transformation.

I believe in transparency and flat organizations because they cut through the noise, amplify communication and create cultures where innovation thrives. Whether in the boardroom, on stage, or even on the disc golf course, I approach challenges with focus, creativity, and a drive to understand how systems work and how they can improve.

What excites me most is helping organizations build cultures that unlock people’s potential. When communication and innovation take root, the results are always remarkable - cultures shift, performance improves and lasting impact is created.

We focus on helping people know themselves, read others and speak with honesty and care - especially when stakes are high and opinions differ.

In our work together, participants learn to slow down their reactions, name what’s really happening, stay open while still being decisive and use disagreement to sharpen thinking instead of damage relationships. Over time, these behaviours become a shared way of operating: how we enter a room, how we listen, how we challenge, and how we commit to action.

This is the backbone of all our training and coaching - not theory on a slide, but habits you can use in the next difficult conversation.
